About
Abdelrahman is an Egyptian contemporary artist born in Cairo in 1997. He graduated from the Faculty of Art Education at Helwan University in 2020, specializing in Drawing and Painting.
His work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions across Egypt, including Masr Walada and The Name is Palestine at Art Talks Gallery, the 16 Days of Activism Community Festival with What Women Want Magazine, Printemps des Artistes Cairo (10th Edition), and First Time at Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Additional exhibitions include shows at Zahwa Gallery, Egyptland—through which one of his paintings was acquired by Esaad Younis—as well as I Wish I Had a Candle at Art Talks Gallery, the Youth Salon, The Art of Staying at Home exhibition at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Dai Festival for Arab Youth, the Black and White Exhibition (5th Session), the Post-Corona Festival at Dai Gallery, and the Dream Exhibition at the Ahmed Shawky Museum.
Internationally, his work has been featured in exhibitions in Berlin at Officina Kreuzberg, in Turkey through the Savas ve Cocuk exhibition focused on the children of Gaza, and in England through Revealing Palestine at Coles Gallery and a group exhibition in Exeter. His work has also been shown in California through the first and second editions of Palestine 4, in Iran and Iraq through The Storm Still Rages, and in Saskatoon, Canada through a charity auction and exhibition.
Abdelrahman’s practice explores the intersection of traditional and digital media, experimenting with layered textures and materials to create a distinctive contemporary style. His work incorporates oil paint, acrylic, plaster, embroidery, gauze, and digital art techniques, blending tactile and visual elements to create emotionally resonant pieces.
