Safia Khan
About
Safia Khan is a medical doctor and poet based in the UK. Her debut pamphlet (Too Much Mirch, Smith | Doorstop) won the 2021 New Poet’s Prize. She has been published in various magazines and anthologies including The North, BATH MAGG, and Poetry Wales. She is currently a Writer in Residence at House of Amal. She been shortlisted for the Hippocrates Prize for Medicine and Poetry (2024), the Wolverhampton Literature Prize (2025), and the Disquiet Literary Prize (2026). She is the Editorial Lead for Create Humanity's Art for Palestine poetry anthology.
